F.No. 37-3/Legal/AICTE/2009 In exercise of the powers conferred under(a) Section 23 read with Section 10 (b), (g), (p) and (q) of AICTE Act, 1987, the All India Council for technological fostering, hereby makes the future(a) Regulations:1. Short title and commencement:(i) These Regulations may be c everyed the All India Council for practiced reproduction (Prevention and Prohibition of Ragging in Technical Institutions, Universities including Deemed to be Universities imparting technical education) Regulations 2009. They sh on the whole come into force on the date of the notification. (ii) 2. Objective:To root out ragging in all its forms from technical insertions, Universities including deemed to be Universities imparting technical educati on in the country by prohibiting it by justness, preventing its occurrence by succeeding(a) the provisions of these Regulations and punishing those who indulge in ragging in lose of prohibition and prevention as provided for in these Regulations and the appropriate fairness in force. 3.
